Um, Sunday is Mother's Day. He's going to pay a premium price for roses and/or rose petals on one of the biggest flower giving days of the year, next to Valentine's Day.





So, as long as he doesn't care (and him mom isn't going to be PISSED OFF that he's not spending every waking second with the FIRST woman in his life), then he can go to any grocery store with a flower section, buy several dozen roses and start ripping the petals off the blooms. Costco and Sam's Club have roses in growers bunches of 25, just over 2 dozen. I don't think they jack up the price, just because it's a holiday, but I'm not sure.





BTW, I'm kidding about his mom being pissed off, but seriously, the cost will be about double if he gets the flowers at a regular flower shot this weekend.
Reply:It's not going to be cheap to have rose petals quickly for Sunday since Sunday is Mother's Day. Florists may be a bit on the busy side.





The best bet would be to call around to find the best price for a boat load of roses and take the petals off yourselves.
Reply:Go to a rose garden or nursery. We got married at one and they sold big buckets of petals (already as petals - so you don't have to do anything yourself) for $50 (AUD). Ask about at the nurserys and see what they can do.
Reply:the cheapest way to by them is to pickup a doz. at a grocery store that has a flower dept. and just peal the petals off each of the flower heads.
Reply:Go to the grocery store and buy a few bunches of roses and just take the petals off them.





That's all the flower shops are going to do.
Reply:Go to a florist now and tell them to save what they take off the roses they put in mothers day bouquets (they always take off the first couple petals that hang...used to work at one)
Reply:Some grocery stores actually sell just rose petals in with the roses in the cooler section where they keep flowers.
Reply:I bought boxes of rose petals at albertsons the day before my wedding and they were beautiful. And they were only $1 a box!! I'm IN Texas... Good Luck!

Reply:I went to Wal-mart today and saw some in red and in white and they were cheap maybe 4 dollars
